Excitement fills the air as we embark upon the 2024-2025 school year. I want to welcome everyone to Keppen Elementary School. My vision as Keppen's Principal is to create a positive, safe, nurturing, and rigorous teaching and learning environment for all students. As a member of Keppen's School community, you're part of a vibrant and dynamic group of students, teachers, and staff who are passionate about learning and growing together. We prioritize academic excellence, social-emotional learning, and character development. We believe that every student deserves a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters individual growth.
I wholeheartedly believe that great schools are a result of a strong home-school relationship. As a school, we recognize that parents are an essential part of the educational journey, and we value the role you play in your child's academic and personal growth. At Keppen Elementary School, we believe that parent involvement is key to a student's success. When parents are engaged and involved, students tend to perform better academically, develop better social skills, feel more confident and motivated, develop a stronger sense of responsibility, and have a more positive attitude toward learning. We value the communication between home and school and encourage you to contact us when the need arises and to stay in the know about your child's studies, assignments, and school activities. School communication is shared with families via email, Facebook, Keppen's Website, and/or our school/family communication app "Class Dojo."
As we begin this new year together, I want to leave you with a quote from Albert Einstein, "Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world." Remember your imagination is limitless, and it's what will take you on incredible adventures throughout your life. So, dream big, be bold, and never stop exploring!
